Old mower made it to its retirement home safely. Made a deal for a 55 Air Injection.

I finished up my black an gray 346 last night and made a couple of test cuts this morning. I'm going to have to pull the top end and grind some more on the divider in front of the carb because it's pushing everything out of alignment and I afraid it will eventually cause an air leak. Anyway, here's what it looks like finished.

2x ms 260 (€ 50) never cleaned properly.
The starter was partially stuck, lots of dirt under the clutch drum, around the carburetor, ribbed intake boot.

Good cylinder/piston, cases, original bearings.

Garage sale 026 bought as a non running saw for 5$, cylinder is perfect with machine marks on piston still. Went through carb and metering lever was set so high the diaphragm was held against the cover so after that it ran but had air leak. New crank seals and impulse line pressure and vacuum tested well. Gave it a bit of timing while I was changing seals now time to put up for sale.

Love the 026! Nice find, and a great price.

Yeah it will be getting sold because I have an 026 that was bought by my dad for me when I was 14 so really don’t need two because I don’t run a 50cc that much. One I have is identical to this one both red lever saws. I know some people say it makes a difference between red and black lever but I don’t know.

It ain't mine yet Jeff, but it is still in my shed, the guy has NEVER gotten back to me.

I have tried to contact him, so if I don't hear from him by spring I will consider it mine!

He stated that "he never uses it", and it has a 41" B+C w/404!

The chain was on so tight you could not move it, and the Hi was only about 1/2 turn out … no wonder it burned the piston … but it is a bad burn, I'm hoping none of the metal got into the bearings. The top of the piston is eroded.
