Flywheel and rotor off of the 41 Sportsman. Found the points plunger stuck. Tomorrow I'll see if I can get it freed up.

This really has me thinking. I asked where he bought it and he said it was bought new last week and one of the smaller Stihl dealers in the area. I wonder if they ordered the rear handle version and couldn't move it and retrofitted a top handle. The recoil does say 201c.....

Seriously though, I'm no weakling and I like a decomp but I've never been around anyone to say otherwise when I was learning to use a saw.
Honestly I have a technique just like everyone else who uses a saw to start it. I think until you get the fine motor skills over time, starting out you basically just horse on the starter.
Now I just go through the motions and it seems so easy to start a saw as compared to when I was first learning ( except for the Homelite Super 1050A, those MF's want blood!).

Couldn't free up the points plunger. A buddy of mine has NOS ones so not to worry.
My new to me Pro Mac 10-10S arrived today. Determined that she needs a carb kit and fuel line but that's no big deal.

Nice score ! , you won't be disappointed.
Fyi I've been using the 034 fuel line in those lately, if it has the bigger fuel line hole.
New bar and chain combination wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks! It did run but started flooding out. Fuel line was rock hard and metering diaphragm was pretty stiff. Carb wasn't as bad as I expected. Fuel line is already replaced. I'm surprised that I had one in stock.
