Back to grinding blades, this one belongs to @CrystalRiver1. I think I'm gonna have to push my timeline back a few weeks. I've gotten a few extra orders, but many because of materials being backordered, took me a couple weeks to get some metal in,so that put me behind.

Spent a lot putting this one back together. It was missing the recoil, shroud and air filter cover. Cylinder was not salvageable so I put a new top end on it and new plastics $$. Seems like the 660’s have been fetching damn good money on eBay. I put a stupid number on it and will let it ride for a little while. We’ll see.....

Great looking saw Rich! Hope you get a great offer on it!

Thanks Dan. I did put a silly number on it. But if you can get $1300 for a used 660 in decent shape. Or a NOS 660 fetches $2000.....I might not be that far off. Who knows? None of us would pay that kind of money. We all see chainsaws trade for unbelievable money sometimes. Hopefully it’s my turn. Probably not though

I'm doing very similar at the moment Rich, except its not on Ebay, its listed on our local auction site. I paid $350 for this, and thankfully it turned up really clean and pulled 170psi before I even touched it. All I did was pop the top off and clean the carbon from the exhaust and combustion chamber. Re-sprayed the side and recoil covers with industrial enamel mixed exactly to Stihls specs. Replaced a few other necessary bits and on it goes.

And what Jeff? :)
I've actually got three of them here at the moment... 2 are mine, the other is a customers with oil delivery issues.
The other one was a smoking deal, I only paid $270 for it. Guy said the crankshaft was broken....well it wasn't, the flywheel was loose and the clutch side main looked like this:

I'm going to rebuild it, one will be kept and ported at some stage, the other will be sold. Both saws have the HD filter and good mufflers.

Pfffttt Parts manager put everything in one of those plastic grocery "thank you" bags, it wasn't even half full. New parts are outrageous. Saw was so clean I couldn't bring myself to use used parts. They would have stood out like a sore thumb. I'm confident I did the right thing with this saw, regardless what it eventually sells for.
