Got this freebie 041 last night, so after work, I gave it a once over, and got it running! Lol Still needs a lot, am curious if it’s a super or not, will have to dig a bit. And it has a wide nose 32” bar, a bit overkill for an 041DEF1E3FF-D4F8-4836-942B-F254DF75F4A5.jpeg8A74AD42-BDCF-4FF4-8BB8-6AD9E4437D2D.jpeg

I always liked those.
My cousin scattered one, spun it on a wet road and tree hit right in the center of the rear license plate.
Tree stopped between the front seats.
Not a salvageable part on it.
It was white with gold.

Had a screw loosen and fall out...
Plate trashed, work piece (a table top) required much sanding to save.
Router gets stuff done in a hurry, quite strong.

That’s sucks! Have had the bearings fall off a few times on the bit and ruin work!

That's a cool project, especially if it turns out to have the Super piston and cylinder. I worked at an agency years ago that had a dozen Supers and that's what we had to cut commercial thinnings with - 041S westerns with 30" bars.

This is a 562xp I picked up last week for $50. It got run over by a skid steer. PO found replacement cases and swapped the crank and jug over, then threw the rest of the parts in a box and lost interest. The jug has some bent fins but everything else is pretty nice. I've already got a bunch of parts coming for it courtesy of @Flip I don't trust the PO's work so I split the cases today and I'll be replacing the bearings and seals.

My echo weed eater isnon the bench for a little tune up. Gonna put a carb kit in it andnit needs a fuel tank grommet. Maybe while im at it ill get a new plug too. Its about 12 years old and never given me any trouble.
I had it sitting idling the other day and it stalled a couple times and just not as responsive as it should be. Diaphram seems a little stiff.

Working on the carb for the echo weedeater. Also replacing the fuel gromet and air filter.

Hey @WillG or anyone who knows, you have any idea how to adjust the low needle on the echo trimmers? I cant tell if its a special tool or if i have to remove a plug like the high side.

I pulled that carb apart twice to check gaskets and all looks to be correct. Thers a small oring on throttle part where the low side needle thing is, gonna pop that off tomorrow to make sure it never fell off sonewhere. If that dont work i guess start swapping old gaskets in till it runs to figure out what it is. Dam small engines. How can yas make any money fixing thesenwhen ya get a finicky one lol.
