Started on my 268xp build today. Got the saw torn down, everything degunked in the parts washer and dry. Now its time to start assembly of the bottom end with new oem bearings and seals. I've had this saw for awhile now and ran it a few times. Its runs pretty decent but im gonna try and make it run a little more gooder:)IMG_20200605_155325.jpg

Two Lawn Boy mowers, trying to get them running before the grass gets up to my ankles. One needed a carb float kit and I think the second one is gonna need the fuel line and filter cleaned out because it doesn't seem to get enough fuel. The first one actually got too much fuel, soon as you turned the fuel on it came out of the carburetor...I already put a kit in the second one but it didn't help much...

Leaked badly, new orings and good as new.

Wife brought it home for me, I like it once in a while.

Ryobi 4 cycle trimmer that came in the other day. Complaint was wouldn't stay running/tune up. Seems to run pretty good, let it idle while I checked out a Craftsman yard vacuum that came in this evening. Trimmer ran okay for a while so I serviced it with new plug, air filter, fuel filter and oil change. Will run it again to do some trimming with it to see how it does under load.

The Craftsman yard vacuum came in for a no start, even after he cleaned the carb and put fresh fuel in it. Wouldn't fire on carb cleaner, compression felt weak so I put my gauge on it and big ol goose egg for compression! No spark either, coil is dead. Gonna call him in the next day or two and see if wants me to go any further with diagnosis. Seems to have lots of air coming back thru intake, suspecting a possible stuck intake valve.

Yanked the head off the little Tecumseh and found a stuck intake valve. Freed up valve. Parts on order. Carb kit on order for the ryobi 4 cycle trimmer. Had a John Deere rider dropped off for a carb rebuild and service. Finally got a haircut after 12 weeks!

Yes sir. 700r4 with a few 4l60e upgrades internally along with some beefed up aftermarket goodies.

Brings back memories my friend! Built plenty of them! Can make a heck of a good trans with the right parts and builder. Had one I couldn't kill in my plow truck. It's in my youngest brother in-laws truck now and he's doing his best to scatter it.
