Trying out a different setup on the 031. 16" Windsor bar, 7 pin 3/8 rim, Oregon full chisel chain. Leaned out the high speed a tad too.

Make a video Will. Compare...
You should be right at or about at max rpm for that saw.

OK. Good...
Do you have a .325 setup to run on that saw as well? 325 may be better...
You'll never know unless you try

Would be interested in what you thing of the 500 / 572 / 462.

For me, the jury is still out on the 500i.

The guys I do saws for provide more feedback than I can possibly ever gain from the time I run these saws.....so I'll share some of the things I hear from them. They love the 572XP. One guy that has bought several from me just told me that he had put over a million board feet on the first one I did for him. The only issues he'd had......the muffler cracked and sorta fell apart. I sent him a new modded muffler. Then the coil start breaking down after it got hot. His local dealer replaced the coil, and the carb at no cost to him. That's after a million board feet.....on a modded saw.

The MS462 is not getting as great of reviews......but no real issues either. The guys that were used to a MS461 are having trouble adjusting to the balance of the saw. They say it's too light. Personally, I love the way it handles.

And that's why there is a locked cage over the door![emoji6]

That and the 20 other 1000.00 saws that are in here.

Yea, I thought from the start that the 572 and 462 were designed for different markets. If you are looking to balance a long bar you will likely prefer the 572, if you do much limbing, or have to work out of a bucket, I'll bet you like the 462 more.

I don't try to make things what they aren't, I'm very happy to be running a 20" light bar on mine. I believe it is currently the lightest 70 cc saw on the market.
