You can trim off the tabs and install the new clamp without removing much of anything.

For proper alignment of the partition and carb assembly, etc.

If it's not torched/melted you can trim off the tabs and install the metal clamp without replacing the partition.
There is a service bulletin on it from husky.

Drill a couple of holes thru the tabs and use some tie wire. It won't come open then.

Getting this saw ready to sail. Had a aftermarket top end. Swapped to a OEM cylinder and new piston. Did a base gasket delete, new intake manifold and seals.
