Exactly. Had one on the deets 036 Christmas saw. It’s a pain. I don’t find them helpful.

They are more troubled than the are worth. I'll see if I can use the one off my 460 that i smashed then it will be if I can get the studs out they are what's holding it in place.

Original owner 038 Super. Needed crank seals, carb kit, fuel and impulse lines, filters, a new starter rope, and a good cleaning. Good for another 40 years.

Tie the anchor rope around the top handle. Heavy saw for 68cc.

After standing on the shoulders of the men here who started the research, I want to try a different approach.

The saw has such nice ports and such nice numbers that I plan on the Mustang Mike quad classic. MM/BGD/TA/AF

That’s an extra piston. Got plenty of 4047 Aluminum filler wire here. I plan on welding a popup to the crown and maybe just cut a bit out of the chamber if the BGD squish is too tight.

A nice Frogzskin on the rear should look nice and help the carb box while still keeping things clean.

If it allows the base gasket delete, I would try it w/o the pop up first. They run great stock, so little changes are likely best!
