OE or NE cylinder? The uppers don't really need much work.

Getting running for a neighbor been setting for years. Emptied the gas tank and cleaned the carb fired it up. It runs like new again. Because it is. It still had the new muffler smell. Haven't got a chance to mess with the other on yet but I dont think it has even had gas put in it.20190310_174822.jpg 20190310_174815.jpg
Not exactly the bench but it was such a nice day figured I would work on the tailgate.

NE saw. Didn't know that! I've been reading up on the 346 porting but most everything I've read has included trans work. Maybe I've not read the correct stuff yet.

Complete rebuild on a Jonnie 670 super 2.
Skf bearings, trying one of these pop up pistons.

Factory timing with no base gasket
Squish .021
Exh- 105
Trans- 122
Intake- 71.5
Pondering where to go with it? A little more intake and it would probably make a good long bar saw. Or take the exhaust up to 101, trans 120 and intake 76 ish and make it a gtg saw?
Thought? opinions?

Similar to 272 correct? I did one at 100 120 79. I wouldn’t call any of the numbers you mentioned gtg saw numbers.

Cut a pop up in the last one I did and the transfers were right where I wanted them. I don't think that I touched them at all. That saw runs very good.

Cut the squish in this one so the exhaust and transfers are getting raised a little bit.

Everyone has different views on these I just do what I like.

I call that one the black and gold ones. Have seen those in chrome bore and bare. What are you seeing?

Grey are bare bore like 3300.

I like the black blue the best. Has the 335 predator cylinder on them.
I haven't peeked inside the black and gold one yet, I got it home and went straight to cutting with it.

The black and blue is down in Nofkaralaky getting the potato treatment.

Now these are little rarer. Think I have like 8-9 of them saved on my website thread so far. I have owned 2 or 3 of them and have 1 now. I just get them to get in the collector guys hands.

Thread on them http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/craftsman-3-7-60cc-24'/

I haven't seen those. Would round out my line up nicely. So if I understand this right, that saw has a 365 head on it?

Yes first set of 3 I had in pic and sold. Have all 3 again on bench waiting.

I can be traded out of the 3.7 I have now with oem bar it came with new. ;)
It runs but has started to scuff piston. I was going to put another pin it someday.

Be warned they bring more then cousins 365 3500. First one I sold to collector that had been looking for one for 2 years. I told him just a chainsaw to me you want it. He was a happy camper. Happened on my CR website.

Ain’t quite chainsaw stuff, but you get the gist. Colt Sporter Lightweight chambered in 7.62x39. Pumped about 600 rds through it a couple of days ago...time to clean it. This Colt AR-15 is over 30 yrs old...never missed a beat...not the first FTF, FTE with 10/20/30 rd Colt mags!
