WOW! Nice collection! How does the 335 predator stack up compared to the 330? Its the same cc's. Is the predator a closed port version of the 330? I know the 330 is an open port from my research.

Both open. The 335 pred's are low tops with the smaller carb, smaller intake set ups like the 3500 365.

Transfers different and maybe porting. Never checked that part.

There is like 3 different 3.3 here I know of for sure. Maybe a 4th on the black gold ones.

pred or 3.3 chrome LEFT, 330 right

One of the saws I did was drinking fuel like I could not believe. Put a more restrictive muffler on it and it runs just as good and drinks less fuel.

I dont think it was the muffler because I had only removed the small tab from inside, and when it wore the oem 268 jug, it didnt use much fuel.
The General Tso jug however, does.

Bring that saw up one morning and we can pop a new cylinder on it and get it straightened away.

I agree that likely the intake, and maybe also the transfers are too low, but unless you can correct the jug, sometimes a more restrictive muffler may help. Not the ideal solution, but sometimes you just don't have a choice. (different jug may need a different muffler).

Thanks Steve. I will see where it goes and maybe we can do that.
Im looking at this as a low cost learn how what does what saw right now.
I'm a hands on lets take it apart to learn type of guy, and so far, this thing has provided that without breaking the bank.

Same way I learned Briggs single cylinder OHV crankshafts dont live long past 6,000, but Tecumsehs do!

It takes a lot of neglect and abuse to do that to a Foreman.
NO air filter or "original"(or lack of any)oil?

Oh yay . Saved another plastic cased stihl. Redneck fix and oiling again.

Pulled the pos aftermarket carb someone put on it and put a oem on it. All good now.

AFM one the choke would hang, carb wouldnt tune right and would just bog all the time. Oem fixed that one.

Complete rebuild on a Jonnie 670 super 2.
Skf bearings, trying one of these pop up pistons.

Factory timing with no base gasket
Squish .021
Exh- 105
Trans- 122
Intake- 71.5
Pondering where to go with it? A little more intake and it would probably make a good long bar saw. Or take the exhaust up to 101, trans 120 and intake 76 ish and make it a gtg saw?
Thought? opinions?
