Thanks I hope that it runs that good. Muffler modding it next. Here’s what’s in there on a US saw. I’m going to open it up like @Redfin did on the one he just finished. 932AA9D1-20E7-4F9C-8E91-78AC63F20E39.jpeg715080EC-80B8-4699-9E0D-C2324C0D303D.jpegI’m going to try to leave the bracket to hold the screen so I can put it back in if needed.

Got some parts today. Put a new fuel line and filter in one of the 55's. This one will be a closed port model. Seals and bearings look new. Rolls over very nice and smooth. Seals are clean.

Have to clean the cylinder up, have a new piston on hand waiting to go in. New intake boot, impulse grommet, and more.

Has anyone ever filled the notches in the crankcase for the bottom fed open port cylinder? Figure if it could be done, that would build a little more case compression and wake the saw up a bit.

Going to do very light port work, mainly getting rid of rough spots and beveling the ports. Might widen the intake and exhaust a little, if it can be done. Definitely will mod the muffler.

Have to order a couple carb kits soon.
