That pie looks fine!!
That pie looks fine!!
The last time I was at Costco, I looked at a Traeger. They only had the small one. It looked well built but was pricey for a small grill. I think the 34 series is the way to go. A lot more bang for the buck.
They look to be ideal for doing a large rib roast. I think the convection fan would be the nuts for roasting large pieces of meat.
My only concern would be keeping enough pellets on hand. Do you have any idea what the consumption rates are for various temps and cook times?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts, after you've had some time with the Traeger.
Mines the same way. that's why I have a grill and a smoker.I'd also like to know if there are pellets available that don't "smoke"
I'm ashamed to say this about my wife, but she does get sick of smoked foods after a fashion.
She likes grilled steaks more than smoked
Awesome Charlie...looks great!Just pulled 5 1/2 # fresh sausage out of the smoker. Added some sage to the cakes in the middle. The loafs are seasoned with Walton's H- 110. So damn good!

Yessir Charlie to the groceries, milk and buttermilk. Good eats no doubt. Thanks Jason, If you were only here to taste it. As said damn good!! Probably have three cakes with 6 eggs over easy with two pieces toast, and grape jelly, and grits in the morning, I will also do at least a qt of milk. And a pint of buttermilk.
