Supper tonight is smoked jalapeno summer sausage, with steamed potatoes. Did 6 chubs today in the smoker, took about 9.5 hours.

Didn’t get a pic of the first plate, but was identical to this second plate. Just in the mood for some eggs this evening. Two eggs over easy sitting on top of grits, two eggs over easy sitting on top of two pieces of toast, with two pieces of toast for butter and jelly. Both plates washed down with half a gallon of milk.

I hate to say it but I've never had grits. I'm sure I would love them, not sure why I've never tried to make them.

...they are fine with melted butter, salt, pepper. Next time at the store, pick up a bag of Jim Dandy Quick Grits...cooks up in 5 mins.

Are the quick ones as good as the traditional style? I don't mind the extra time if its worth it!

I like all different flavors, even the instant grits, the more butter the better. We really like the cheese flavored instant grits, just add hot water, salt and pepper with some eggs as above and you are good to go.

Soft shell crabs with potato salad, Cole slaw, and hush puppies. From the restaurant on lake Anna. I love soft shell crabs, not so much the fixings.
