There is nothing near me in MA either. I travel every so often by car, and try to plan out my trips to get to an e free station and grab 10 gallons a few times a year. Sometimes NY, sometimes Canada, etc. I add a stabilizer, and only use it in the saws. I also to to race tracks, and most sell pump efree race gas, 98 octane. I like the regular efree better though.

Best fuel I ever ran was 110 e free facing fuel mixed with stihl ultra. Them 460's ran like race saws. lol
That's what I've been saying, I run rocket fuel 100 LL. My dealer has 110, 112 also. 112 has ethanol I think. Alcohol is a serious oxygenator, that's why sum racing circuits have banned efuel..

I know and it doesn't sound to cost effective when it cost around $8 to brew up and mix a gallon of ethanol

That's what I've been saying, I run rocket fuel 100 LL. My dealer has 110, 112 also. 112 has ethanol I think. Alcohol is a serious oxygenator, that's why sum racing circuits have banned efuel..
I tried 2 different 110 and got less power. Smells better though

That's why I run 100. I have.noticed samething w/110. Need hotter spark and way more compression than my saws have..
My saws do produce more power and run cooler on race juice .
I run 91efree when out of juice.
Not much power difference, but definitely sum loss.

87 made the fastest cut times of any fuel. One saw was stock 550 xp auto tune and one was a Ported 7900 with high compression and advanced ignition. 110 was 10% slower than 93. 93 was around 5% slower than 87.

i run 87 in everything i don't see the need in running anything with a higher octane than that in my 2 and 4 cycles.

I'm sure it did. Burns hotter .
Once again on that threshold of pre Det, that's how I see it.

Maybe so. I've milled with it in saws with 225 lbs of compression. Never a problem with detonation or running away after a cut. One 395 did diesel after a long cut and it was on 93 then. Never did it again so I have no clue what caused it.

What I don't understand is how we got strong armed into this chit gas. I've not met but a few people who like government choosing things for them yet it seems I'm the minority. Best part is the few I have met that like someone else making life choices could easily be taken down with a butter knife.
