That oregon line works real good if your spool will take 130 size i run it at home ,holds up way longer ,this husky line is very similar ,not as aggressive as the oregon i think though, for another option .Try some of this.....

Is there a special string head that takes the 130 size ? I think 105 is the biggest mine will take now .Try some of this.....

Yes there are...but hard to get a dealer to order one. I have been researching this a whole bunch lately as I just acquired two FS240 trimmers. Also hard to find is a manual head. I ended up just buying a Chicom 25-2 head for $8.00 delivered. I fully intend to try .118 or .130 line. I will run .105 if it won't feed but I really like the bigger line.Is there a special string head that takes the 130 size ? I think 105 is the biggest mine will take now .
Sounds like oregon gatorline ,was it square ?Somebody gave me a 10 foot piece of trimmer line about 20 years ago. Had a steel wire in the middle of it. Lasted me 3 years. Wish I knew what brand it was and if it's still made.
Hmmm. Don't remember for sure. I'm inclined to say round, but it was a long time ago.Sounds like oregon gatorline ,was it square ?
Is that a similar 4 mix like the ht 101/ 131 pole saws ?This thing wants big line....
Strato 2 stroke. What replaced the FS 250. I have never held a 250...but this thing is supposedly just a little heavier but much better fuel mileage. I don't have much time on it yet but it seems like a tank....and I am not a huge Stihl fan.Is that a similar 4 mix like the ht 101/ 131 pole saws ?
I love the Husqvarna heads and how easy they load. I wear out at least two per summer just from rocky creek banks and stuff. If they were made of harder plastic they would be great. The Husqvarna t-35 head holds 30 ft of .095 or about 24 ft of .105
Either will get me through a typical day or sometimes two of trimming, so that's probably about a full season of trimming for a typical home owner in suburbia. In classic Husky style, it's very light weight, works very well but is a bit delicate if you tend to grind it into stuff. In which case the blue button bottom piece wears out and falls apart thus losing the bump spring too. They last me for years, but a new helper can kill one in a day. I keep a spare head in the truck and replace the blue button and or spring as needed to keep one in reserve. The time saved from having twice as much line on a head is well worth it to me.
