I bought a qt. of red armor and I have run 2 tanks at 32:1 in a fresh 044 build the last 2 days! I think I had an Epiphany !Just mixed up a gallon of dominator to try, it has to be the thinnest oil I’ve ever seen….noticed it doesn’t really have much of a smell either, just hot exhaust lol….haven’t ran enough to form and opinion yet…
I run red armor 40:1 and it’s my favorite so far…
I really like the red armor and don’t see myself switching…I know alot of guys like the dominator so I figured I’d give it a try in my blower and trimmer first see how it does….I bought a qt. of red armor and I have run 2 tanks at 32:1 in a fresh 044 build the last 2 days! Running Red Armor it only smokes on startup. I never notice anything while cutting/idling.At 32:1 mix ratio do most synthetics smoke about the same amount?
Red Armor does lay down an incredible amount of oil inside the motor. I cant say why. Its not all that thick either. Its a 30w oil like most pre mix oils are.I was told Red Armor provides good protection at 40:1 due to is high viscosity but the other thinner oils benefit from 32:1 mix. Ok…you can start throwing the tomatoes now…![]()
Partial to blue, myself.40:1 Red Armor. Super easy to mix. And red.

It does very well at 40:1. I don't see a real need to run it at 32:1 although you certainly could.
