Original Klotz Techniplate is OK. And I believe their newer 50:1 and Snowmobile Techniplate are OK. R50 and Super techniplate leave carbon buildup along with a heavy wax. I’ve had a couple saws sent back with a clear waxy substance locking the rings in place enough to lose compression

i have followed this whole thread and there are a lot of people that like dominator. here is why that matters there are professional saw builders that say that is the oil they run. So Dominator for the win!

I was wondering if it was just me thinking who the fork is fawning over Castrol? The overseas stuff isn’t any better performing either.
Besides the Canadian stihl oil i have messed with it. Indo know their snowmobile oil is garbage.

Super techniplate smells wonderful, but the castor makes it very dirty.
I have ran it in bikes just for the smell, but it's really terrible stuff in a saw.

Dominator.

That is all.
Pretty simple huh...

That is what I use, 36:1 in my saws, just to be different; 50:1 in my trimmer, edger, and blowers. Whoever says it smells good must have gotten a different batch than me. Mine does not smell too bad, but it definitely doesn't smell good...

When i cut Wood with my alcylate fuel mixed with dominator powered saws, i don't smell anything.

Since i see what dominator do in engines, i never ever use anymore other engine oil.
Which one is it because I see different ones
