I just finished up a gallon of valvoline at 32:1 with 91 efree.

Saws ran and tuned perfect on it. I'd say it's good oil.

Back to benol at 40:1 now
Is the valvoline specific ope or bike oil ? And color of it ?

I agree. Alota folks here that work on saws and tested all these oils and have seen the difference internally in their saws are now using the same oil . Wonder why that is? Alota folks jumpin around between oils and say oil is oil and they all work and all they really know is it hasnt burn my saw up yet but they havent seen the bottom or topend to actually know what is goin on in their saw.
Most of you guys jump to conclusions based on a poor understanding of what's going on, limited expiereance, poor test data or all of the above.

You guys need to ask some loggers what they use, The guys that run them 8 to 10 hours a day and abuse the heck out of them. Pretty sure whatever they buy it's in drums or gallon jugs, not in little bottles like most of us buy. These guys don't cut cookies.

All you can do is disagree.
Let's see the inside of your saws if you can take one apart
I posted plenty of pics on the other site. I'll not be tearing a saw down to check for something that's apparent by looking through the plug oil or from be aware of oil ratios effect on residual oil.

I build saws for loggers. I don't think it matters what your cutting.

Most loggers abuse and use the cheapest oil they can.
Most here run Walmart oil without issue.
I'm also a logger myself
That's been my expiereance.

Was wondering how you went through a gallon of mix so fast ,your job explains it now . only time i go through a lot is when milling a lot . at 40 to 1, 16 oz per 5 gallon can 1 gallon of oil is 8 gallons of mixed fuel ,that's a lot to run through a saw in little time even milling a lot .

I port a saw almost every day and constantly have to run a saw. I put a couple tanks through a couple saws every day. I rarely cut timber anymore,I port full time and have for a very long time.
I see what poor oil at 50:1 does every day.
I've got most of my local customers switched to Walmart oil at 40:1 and I like what they look like inside. It's very good oil.
For 4.99 a quart I'll try changing them over to valvoline. I ran it to see how it was before telling them to switch, it's very good oil and very cheap. Bad gas and orange stihl are what kill the dead saws I see but even that is rare, saws are extremely tough.

I have almost finished the gallon of Wal Mart Super Tech oil I bought. No ill effects on my ported 359 or 372. Once it's gone I have a couple of quarts of Yamalube 2r to use up.
