Do you have access to Husqvarna oil? Husqvarna is JASO FD rated while Stihl is not.
I need to check with my local Husqvarna dealer which I have!
Why?
Is Husqvarna oil deemed better than Stihl?

Probably either one Stihl mineral has always been good and if that super is the same as what the white bottle in states was it’s good also. Most Stihl oil outside of the USA is castrol. Does it say who makes it on back?
I have an official local Castrol dealer!
Is Castrol deemed good/superior?

Thank You very much for Your replies guys!!! :beer-toast1:

I wouldn’t say the husky xp is superior I think any of the 3 will be adequate for your purposes. Not sure who makes husky oil there since they all change throughout the world. I think Phillips 66 is making the new xp oil here but not 100%. I hear they’re making the red armor for echo now and used bought the company that used to make no smoke two stroke that I ran a long time. That stuff was 20$ a gallon

I tried almost every 2-stroke oil available localy to me!
Except for the Dolmar/Makita oul they all caused:
- nostril burn
- headaches
- continous smoke

All "*s-wordty" oils I eventually spent in my weedwhacker as it blows its exhaust behind my back.

I guess with any oil thread, you will get someone who states that their saw blew up when they used "X" oil and someone else will chime in that for 20 years they have been using the same oil at 50:1 with great results and someone else will swear that 16:1 is the way to go with the same oil. I think the preference here in my area is for Husqvarna oil, because it tends to be slightly cheaper than Stihl. I have not seen anything but Stihl, Husqvarna or VP oil here in my area. I would like to try Amsoil but can't find it locally and have been too lazy to get any off of the Zon yet. We only had one station up here that had non-ethanol premium fuel, but it was crap, would sour within two weeks. Luckily we have a new station up here that has it now, will be trying that fuel this summer.

:thumbsup:Oh, so you do not have UPS, Fedex or snail mail?
I am in Croatia/Eastern Europe!

1) Shipping "fluids" is technically illegal
2) ALL shipments FROM the US get opened by Croatian customs and "I" get inquired with customs forms
3) shipping a 3lbs (2 kg) package averages at about 80-90$

Like: seriously?

Thanks non the less.
I realize You can not know all the details.

:beer-toast1:

P.S.:
I can ship TO the US with little troubles.
Got 4 boxes on their way whithin this week for under 100$.

Looks like there is an Amsoil distributor in Bosnia and Herzegovina...I guess if you live in southern Croatia it might not be too far...

If it is a challenge to get across the border then you can always put it in cough syrup bottles or syrup bottles used for flavoring water... I knew a Serbian hotel keeper in Poland who got his moonshine across the borders without issue stating that it was "Serbian Mineral Water"....

Ran Castrol in our Yamaha GPX433G, only had to rebuild it 3 times before step-father decided to change to Yamaha oil.

Very true, I ran several gallons of Red Armor at 25:1 and didn’t get the muffler spooge that Randy sees. I’m not an expert by any means, but I can tune a saw. I do run Techron additive (now Small engine Techron with stabilizer) in all my fuel as it saves me from figuring out what has stabilizer in it and what does not. Fuel, stabilizer, and fuel additives all play a part on how an oil performs.

3 gallons ish through this 390 of RA 25:1…
