I just saw this new "Castrol" oil. It's made by Lubrication Technologies The same people who make the VP synthetic along with the Redmax oil and all of BRP (SeaDoo, SkiDoo, Evinrude, CanAm).
I have a sneaking suspicion it's the same as the VP oil but it's much cheaper. I can get a gallon of it for $39.

I’d try it no problem but have an open gallon of red armor

They were making all the polaris oils at one time I think Arctic cat also. I just wonder why castrol would lease out their label. Doesn’t make sense to me since they’re an oil manufacturer also and used to make most or not all the Stihl oil outside the USA even made the stuff in the us years ago. Look at an old Stihl saw book and it was recommended to use castrol 2 cycle oil
The only reason why Castrol would do any of this would be for money. I don't know what the end game is, but it's definitely about making money off their name. Also, Lube Tech now makes Kawasaki's oil. The old Kawasaki K-Tech was a Citgo product.

It could be that Lube Tech is just a. Packaging company. They could also just be a blender of other people's oil.

They are a custom blending company that buys base oils and additives then they make up oils based on what the manufacturer wants.
They may be blending Castrol oil for all we know, or Castrol. Ay have never produced any two cycle oil of their own. How knows.
I do know that Phllips 66 refines alot of two cycle oil that is then labeled by others. Echo Red Armor, Yamalube and Honda HP2 would be two examples. This was true several years ago, but of course subject to change.

Well Randy, you will know shortly, he’s never been one to ever act civil in an oil thread. He’s also never shown us his STLE credentials to back up his “information”.
That's not true. I have stated my back ground many times.
