Im guessing its an environmental thing on the 100:1. 40:1 is my stopping point. Used to be 32:1 - 36:1 until my testing. Interesting thing though, all three of the numerically high ratio recommended oils, ie 70:1 - 100:1 as a recommended ratio, made it partially through the 300:1 testing. Actually, one, Opti 2 has ran longer than anything. once past the 8.5 hour mark it's limited by remaining amount of fuel. Meaning, some have ran a bit longer than others because they used a little less fuel. Its a very small group that actually made it through all the testing and were still running and even smaller group that were still good enough to be used afterwards.Which Honda lube do y'all recommend?
Anyone tested Makita's 100:1 oil? I don't get why they come out with with such ratios, who would want less oil? I remember when redline 100:1 was a thing.
In your case I can see the logic Roguey. Even with 40/25 extra cost (the ratio between your 25:1 and the 40:1 Dom seems best at) you're still only $48 AUD per the same volume of mix, and it works in your Stihls as proven by your years of service / abuse.Know nothing of this Amsoil Dominator looked it up and the cost yeah nah no thanks $100 for 3.7 liter WTF to run in a chainsaw? lol think I'll stick to me perfectly good cheap oil at $30 for 4L
I pay $38 and change here in the US for 4 quarts.Know nothing of this Amsoil Dominator looked it up and the cost yeah nah no thanks $100 for 3.7 liter WTF to run in a chainsaw? lol think I'll stick to me perfectly good cheap oil at $30 for 4L
Considerably. Best I found red Armor for, when I thought sure it was going to be "my" oil, was $78 a gallon. That said, Cost isn't a factor for me because I'm a low use guy. Had the red Armor been the "one" Ida paid the price. A gallon will last me a few years. It's cheaper than red armor.
Skite. It's $35NZD per 946ml here, same $$ per even if you buy a 3.78l. And you have to buy at least two 946s to get free delivery...which I did.I pay $38 and change here in the US for 4 quarts.
Where you finding it for that price? Way better than I can locate.I pay $38 and change here in the US for 4 quarts.
Amsoil preferred customer deal directly from amsoil. I use other amsoil products as well so the preferred customer deal makes sense for me.Where you finding it for that price? Way better than I can locate.
Tightwads? a dollar is only worth a dollar in the US! Lol
Our dollar is at 75c this min but we still don't have it as bad NZ they seem to pay double even on what we pay for thing's..
I believe the most expensive I've tested so far is Motul 800 off-road followed by K-2 and Red Armor. I didn't buy the K-2, a few oz were donated, but it seems to run around $20 / liter regular price.Settle down. Just messing with you.
I can't find any great deals on Dominator at the moment either. Luckily I have several quarts.
