Another twist to this. I asked the Amsoil tech, via email, why the Saber percentages only added up to 56% even if ingredients were at listed maximums. Here is his answer....

All ingredients that are required to be reported due to their hazard classifications appear on our SDSs. Section 3 of US compliant SDSs is not a full material disclosure list; only hazardous ingredients and a range of their relative concentrations are required to be reported, as per OSHA Hazcom 2012.
I saw absolutely O evidence in using their product or your current test to persuade my decision in using their product. Results speak for themselves. Seems theres alot better choices for the money

As far as 2 stroke oil goes, I'm on the fence. Automotive and other equipment oils, I've found no better for our cars and equipment, in our environment and how we use them. I don't even do UOA anymore. I just change it yearly on the engines.
I use the Vavoline Full Synthetic Modern Engine 5w30 in this F150 2.7l Twin Turbo with great results. I also run a JLT catch can on the motor

Valvoline is good stuff from things I've read and what little I've used some of their synthetics. Another that is supposed to be goid is the pensoil made from natural gas. Platinum?
Yes Ive read the same . Engine oils are interesting also. Most upper end oils use high zinc and esters also

YES... So true. We're all in search of this magic oil. But in fact many oils will do the same thing.
50:1, properly tuned, with all good preventative maintenance done and good chain will serve you well for many many years.

With that said, these tests are still cool. Cool to see just what happens to both Weedeater and oil at these diminished ratios...[emoji106]
50/1 has made me a lot of money rebuilding

Please continue to advise other's to run it.

When i had a Ram 2500 with 6.4 Hemi i used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and would change the oil on 2% on the OCI. Pulling a 36” 5th wheel camper and daily driving i could get 8000-8500 miles. Tried Mobil 1 Extended Performance and got 6200 miles. Next change was Ultra Plat again and got 8300 miles. YMMV... pun intended:cool:
