I use 510 which is ester blend. It's good and clean up some old carbon from old saws.

Looks like the no smoke two stroke I like is now under Phillips 66, last few bottles I bought have Phillips/spectrum printed at the bottom. Wonder if this will help hurt or not change anything. I think the oil is good and maybe that’s what Phillips 66 is thinking too. Hopefully the price doesn’t go up too much.

After 700+ pages here and threads from other sides, there are only that much oil names were mentioned frequently though. But if you want to pick the best, prepare for a war

No thanks, I raced desert racers back in the 70s using Pennzoil mineral oil at 32-1. High performance engines on the pipe, up hot desert sand washes without a problem. The oil may have be FA or FB, I don't know, but it performed just fine. Later, I used Mobil synthetic 2T and Shell synthetic 2T in other bikes. They tended to 'drool' out the exhaust, but at least I knew they were well lubricated. I also ran the same engines on Castrol mineral oil when I couldn't get the synthetic.

My chainsaws don't even begin to suffer that kind of abuse. - I use a FD semi-synthetic oil at 33-1 and call it good...

Run what you want, I've got a chain to sharpen.

I just bought some K2, haven’t tried it yet.
I did just mix up some 510 for the blower and trimmer

From my understanding, 510 doesn't come with fuel stablizer? I mix what i use though. Never stock any mix.

Production runs of almost anything will very on what ever the target is.

They should err on the side of too much, at least to compensate for what's left clinging to the bottom and sides after a quick pour.

I use them same measuring cups too, they work very well.

i like to reuse those 1 gal mix containers. the ones i have fit exactly 5 oz filled to the top, gives me 40:1 in my gas can

And that’s why I never mix 50:1 with those bottles. Not that I ever would to begin with. You could really have 60:1 with what’s clinging to the bottle or if it’s not really 2.6 oz in there. Have always mixed 40:1 and I’m safe either way if it’s accurate or not accurate what’s in the bottle.

A saw will actually run richer on 50:1 than 40:1 with the carb screws untouched to compensate. But your getting less oil in the bottom end with 50:1 than 40:1 with both ratios tuned properly.

I always let the bottle sit a while to get every drop out.
