What oil is best? and what ratio?

Hi, the oil is for rc cars but i run it in my chainsaw Husqvarna 272 right now on gasoline and it works reel good its modified ported and piped. When I am finnished it Will run methanol and nitro but I ned to do some carb modifikation to get it work With nitro.

Like the motul better than klotz?

Actually, a bit of methanol can be used to 'lean' out the carb. When I was running off-road bikes we would often ride at higher altitudes. Depending upon where we were riding, just 5% or 10% methanol would 're-jet' the entire carb.

A splash of methanol was a lot easier than changing all the jets in the carb.

After I use up some more of this I'm switching to Amsoil Saber. You guys convinced me. Saber is $11 a quart up here. Essentially the same cost as supertech synthetic. No point in paying the same for inferior oil. Should I run it 40:1 or 50:1? Thinking 50:1 would be good.

Since most of my saws are ported I run it at 40:1 w/o any problems in any of my 2 cycle devices.

Yeah, I've run into a number of clowns like that in Oz. Painful, no use talking to them. "Hey mate, how about putting 5 litres of petrol in the jug and then adding 150ml of oil (33-1)." Nope, not gonna happen.

It's just the way they've always done it, just like the 'way' they sharpen their chains.

Smile nicely, and then decide not to have any more interactions with them. - You're dealing with the 'Dunning/Kruger effect'.
