Jake, what motors are we talking about? Certain motors have transfers that discharge such that they don't show much wash. Lawnboys for whatever reason don't show much if any wash IME and the only thing I do is set the governor to the high end of the factory RPM range.

That Red Armor will still be a darn good oil even without the esters. According to Ben it would be better without the esters. No skin off my azz either way as I have about 10yrs of RA!!
!! If not Red Armor it will be Klotz Original and red either way is the way to go ! The blue and green oils r a big grade downhill from red oils!!
i put the xp oil in saber bottles so the guys at the races don't find out what i run .I learned that trick from team honda when they used to put yamalube in honda bottles for the factory bikes .
