Belray or motul.
I have both of those left. The belray is drill bit lube now. The 800 I'll use when milling but only then. It doesn't burn as clean just cutting firewood unless it's big bucking cuts.Belray or motul.
I haven't noticed any dirtiness running 800 @ 32:1. But I'm not running it in pump gas either.I have both of those left. The belray is drill bit lube now. The 800 I'll use when milling but only then. It doesn't burn as clean just cutting firewood unless it's big bucking cuts.
It's not dirty but it makes a mess on the mufflers. It just won't get hot enough to burn it.I haven't noticed any dirtiness running 800 @ 32:1. But I'm not running it in pump gas either.
Kinda answered his own question, didn't he? (re: home brew 64:1 w/ bearing failures)Got to love the home brew oil , yea I know the full time fellers are always trying to save a dime. Was it synthetic or Dino oil?
Well, for every cylinder stroke of fuel, you get 25% more gasoline at 40:1 compared to 32:1, which has replaced that gas (delta) w/ oil....My 261 seems like a different saw with 40:1 over 32:1. Sounds different as well. It may all be in my head..

i run full synthetic Woodland Pro from Bailey's at 40:1. Why?- bc I have 2 cases of it.
I did that this evening lighting the grill. Whoops...Sure is, last week I burned the fur off my wrist and hand trying to get one as low as I could
I have one for VP fuel mixed and one for pump gas. I buy gas for the mower in the summer in 2 gallon cans. I rarely buy 5 gallons at a time unless I know I'll be milling a ton and go through 2-4 gallons in a day. That is what I dont like about the motul, when it is mixed it is almost the same orange red as regular straight gas.
You are not the only one that uses only one gallon cans for mix. My wifey knows never to fill up equip. from the 5 gallon can, those are for vehicles only. And 5 gallon cans are too awkward for her as well to fuel up her hedgetrimmer.
