Most racing oils wont have rust protection. There is a disclaimer on Amsoils site that says Dominator isnt to be used in tcw 3 application unless perodic inspections internally r performed
Dominator is not a tcw3 formulation.

Esters are notoriously poor at.protevting ferrous metal from corrosion.

Reread my post. I said there was a disclaimer that IF used in tcw3 application. Most of these race oils will specifically state for racing purposes and not intended for a storage oil. Seems alot of the full synthetic oils that dont contain ester r doing a pretty poor job at corrosion resistance rather than the esters oils that r stated to attract moisture . I havent seen a problem yet in any of my equipment.

I found VP oil at Walmart for a decent price. FD rated full syn. Going to mix up a couple of gallons tomorrow and give it a try. Too bad it's red... View attachment 47987

Update: I burned through about a half gallon of this mixed @50:1 through my 580BTS backpack blower this morning. Absolutely no smoke and the exhaust is the mildest I've smelled in recent memory. I think it's going to be my new favorite oil. I'd like to support my local dealer so I'm going to try and see if they will stock this product. I'm going to mix some @32:1 and see if it smokes in a saw.

You don't need to run that old brick top with that rich of mixture with the modern oils Jake , I'd do 32:1 if you're concerned and it'll keep the skeeters away at that ! :b1:
it has a 3 ring piston and bronze bushings there is no needle bearings in this engine.
