I bet at 32 to 1 it would have spooged less ,would have leaned it out some .
The Duraforce engine is known for running pretty lean. In fact many guys drill out the jets. Mine is stock and it was in the mid 30's temp wise..last cut of the year I hope. The temp alone would lean the motor out much more than a change in ratio.

In the Stihl manual it says if using Stihl brand oil, run it at 50:1, if using any other oil run it at 25:1. That is the extreme.

I was feeling frisky so I mixed up some Supertech synthetic at 50:1. I ran my backpack blower all afternoon and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. No smoke and it had a very faint pleasant smell. Will I buy it again? Probably not because I prefer supporting my Husky dealer.

I have 8 gallons of direct injection outboard engine oil. Can I make 2 cycle gas with it. It looks a little bit different than the regular 2 cycle oil. Lighter in color, but about the same thickness. What is the difference?

I wouldn't use any outboard motor 2 cycle oil in a chain saw. Different oils for different specific uses.

If it's TCW3 rated I wouldn't use it in OPE except for Lawn Boy mowers which specifically call for outboard oil. Find you some air cooled 2 stroke oil preferably JASO FD rated.

This , outboards run cooler because they are water cooled and the temp range they run at is pretty constant because of that while air cooled such as a chainsaw can run much hotter and temp range varies by outdoor temps and the like so the oil needs to be formulated to that to lube properly .
While Lawn-Boy recommends TCW3 oils a good 2 stroke oil is fine in those and I find it actually burns cleaner in mine just using my 40:1 saw mix . LB mower is hardly breaking a sweat when they are running at 3200-3800 RPM .

I've got a LB mower can they turn higher rpms than that mine is a 6.5 horse thoughts were for a chain saw mill with the blade turned flat, but not enough rpms for good chain speed.

Running air cooled oil in a Lawn Boy causes serious mettalic deposit issues on the piston crown and head. Not to mention spark plugs foul much easier.
Stick with an ashless chemistry tcw3 oil for a Lawnboy.

If your duraforce is spinning more than 4k rpm a new short block is in your future. The big and small end rod bearings are the weak link.
Running less oil than the reccomended 32:1 leads to the same problems.

You can preach that all you want but I don't buy it .
I've run and rebuilt LB's for years and have never seen any ill effect from using any good 2 cycle oil in them .

Its certainly your right to do what you please.
I am stating what LB reccomends and why. In addition I have fooled around with many lawnboys as well, especially the duraforce.

Here is my current duraforce. This engine was ran on air cooled only on occasion. Mostly to get rid of dirt bike gas that was more than a few weeks old.
As you can see the head is loaded with mettalic ash deposits.
