Mike Lee dis you ever get to try Yamakube 2R for firewood.

I cut about 30-40 cords a year and it seems ok looking in the exhaust port of my saws.

HP2 is insanely expensive here in Quebec

There aren't many oils that nobody has found a problem with. 2r is one of those. I'd stick with it if you like it

No I haven't. With 2.5 gallons of oil here it's hard for me to make another order for more oil.

I probably have that much or more too Mike. I wont have to buy anymore oil for awhile unless its to stockpile kl200 or red armor
shindaiwa red armor 6 pack of the gallon mix is 9.00 here and the 2.5 gallon is 13.99
so when time permits im going to buy a couple 6 packs.

I use an average of maybe 5 gallons of fuel a month. Weedeater gets about a gallon a month in the summer and depending on if I have stuff to mill saws may only be a gallon or two burning a tank or so through them.
you can't listen to me i wish i only burned 5 gallons per month i burn about 7 per week in the summer.
the lawn boys can be thirsty at times.

The year I started milling I think I burnt about 40 gallons of fuel through the saws. I did have a few 288, 7900, 385, 390, 9010, 394/5, 660, 088, 084, and the 046. Doesn't take long when you can burn 2 gallons of mix in less than 8 cuts. Some days I should have mixed 5 gallons at a time.

I've yet to use anything but 2R in about a year. There's been a few guys send me oil to try, but I'm sorta odd about change. If I don't see a reason to change, then I'll keep on with what I know works. I did go to 40:1 on the 2R though. I think with that oil, 32:1 was overkill.
