What oil is best? and what ratio?

There is nothing wrong with a 064 in the living room. It's good that she has realized that.

My thoughts exactly.
If your gonna keep a saw in the living room it may as well be a 064.
Only bad thing is that it's not mine,it's definate Daves.

Perhaps it should be on a coffee table or fireplace mantle if you have one.

A glass case would be a nice touch. I have to go measure my mantle.....

I do not believe it would protect a higher hp water cooled engine as well as a bike specific oil ,how much hp is a bike ? 50 plus ?and a saw is 6-8 tops maybe ?plus air cooled .vs water cooled

I don't use ope oils in a bike rather I use bike oils in OPE.
However, some of the better OPE oils would be fine in a bike.

Why not benol?
Klotz recommended benol for high performance chainsaws,surely they know what there talking about.

It woukd work well in a lawnboy mower. Both stihl and husky warn against the use of marine oils in OPE. Years ago when TCW3 first came on the scene it was reccomended in OPE ,snowmobiles, ETC. However, it was an abject failure in anything other than a boat. Marine oils must use ashless disperse technology, which doesn't not function above 300 degrees.
