I didn't even know that Junkman has posted that before. We're definitely not the same guy, he looks a little more Fred Sanfordish than me.
It was in the "best looking guy on AS" thread. Nearly all of Brian's posts and likes that day got deleted. He was really on a roll

The only oil I'm curious about trying is the Klotz super techno stuff that has 20% castor in it . Damn if I can find a somewhat local dealer that carries it and of course they can't just order a 1 qt bottle of it .
Otherwise my Saber mix with a touch of Motul 800 at 40:1 stays , it works and that's all that counts for me .
I think the gasoline used and mix ratio are the 2 things that will contribute to a long life of an engine if it's constant and everything is right with the engine .
Pretty much any 2 cycle oil out there is more that good , and if you like using an oil that smells like candy more power to ya .

So just for the hell of it why no boat 2 cycle oil? I have used some in the past. Reason I ask is I was at my parts store today not chainsaw related and I see my lucas and next to it for cents more lucas land and sea. Asked the guy about it who knows his sh it and he said it's the exact same stuff so in theory I'm using boat oil again Does it burn hotter ??? Figuratively speaking if it's good to run bike oil why not boat oil can't be bad to protect an outboard that really gets pushed in ski and performance situation ,?? I understand a boat is liquid cooled but how much hotter could an oil burn than regular two stroke oil?

Well I see it printed but why or how could it make a diffrence
Outboards run much cooler because the lake or ocean water cools the engine ,so the oils burn off at a lower temp .They also have oil injection so the oil is much thinner viscosity .

The new ones do old ones don't so you tellin me the protection aspect would be the issue? As in burns all the oil up? Because of the higher saw temperature

If you feel it's ok go ahead and use it . The fact you are wondering if it's ok to use is something you'll have to decide in time .

It was a question I'll continue to run the lucas I'm using it's a semi synthetic I'm thinking the new tcw3 for e tec motors is what the issue would be when you buy an e tec for example you set the computer at the marina for what type oil you'd run so I believe junkman cleared that up for me However I don't believe the lucas semi is for strictly boats and I believe it to be good oil it's almost gone anyhow then I have a gallon of the husqvarna oil I grabbed dirt cheap .... If she blows I'll let ya know
