Why would anybody run a high viscosity oil at 32:1?
Not knowing better. These motorcycle oils with high viscosities are designed to be ran at much higher loads and temperatures than we have in saws that are required to get them to combust

I never liked r50
Honestly thought you would like the stuff!

Running that in the 044 with no problems. When I get a new race sled, that is all I run in them.

Sorry for the filter delay, been having some family health issues so it has been a rough couple of weeks here.

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

I didn't like r50 cause the smell. Klotz don't make bad oil.

The best I've found so far is benol at 50:1
It burns complete and lubes like a *b-word.
I'm staying with it

What's wrong with castor oil?

It doesn't burn good in my top handles. They don't really get hot enough long enough to burn it completely(same problem i had with 800). Its way too messy. I make a cut for 30 seconds and then shut it off for a minutes or 2 and so on.

Plus my saws stay in the side box on the truck all year and I don't want any separation issues.

It wasnt crud it was black hard carbon and there is a difference, and was ran on 927 and was alil thicker than I was comfortable with. Never said too much carbon was a good thing but its a normal part of the combustion process and gonna occur if u mix, tune, and load the saw correctly. Id be willing to bet there is carbon on top of your 660 piston that u havent seen. Randy , Brad, Mdavlee, Jason, etc. have all stated its normal and gonna occur on top of the piston. Its normal and u wont change my mind on it and thats not my opinion and no scietific data or marketing will change my opinion. Grease monkey knowledge and visual inspections do have their place as well as the scietific data u keep referring to but u r only considering 1 side and the rest of our opinions r null?
Again, I never said a piston crown should look new. I said since I switched to 800 I saw an improvement in detergency. The same criteria approved in oil certifications used to test oils. Lubricity is only a part of the testing....not 100%.
