Darn i think myn is 155
I don’t, I’m using 1-1/4” bands. Once a couple teeth get broken off or they break, I trash them.Don't You guys cut and weld them?
Here bandsaws get welded as long and as often as there is meat on them to make it viable.
Pm sentHey guys.
I picked up 10 new 144" woodmizer blades at a sale yesterday.
Too short for my mill.....if anyone can use em I'd like $125 plus shipping for the lot.
If not I'll just ebay em, but I thought I outta offer em here first. View attachment 470494View attachment 470495

Definitely not worth welding em, they are usually work hardened by the time they snap and just brake again very soon.I don’t, I’m using 1-1/4” bands. Once a couple teeth get broken off or they break, I trash them.
At a whisker over 20 apiece, I don’t see how it would be worth it. Interestingly, I have only had 1 1/2” blades break, never 1 1/4. Some of our blades have probably been sharpened at least 6 times.Don't You guys cut and weld them?

Some of the blade breaking has to do with the size of the drive wheels for the blade the bigger the better it seemsAt a whisker over 20 apiece, I don’t see how it would be worth it. ^^the bigger the better it seems
It also depends on how dull you run the blades. We have a neighbor that sharpens and sets them for 7 or 8 dollars. For that it’s not worth running a dull blade. Some of the blade breaking has to do with the size of the drive wheels for the blade the bigger the better it seems
More truth, and probably the biggest reason blades brake too early. It also depends on how dull you run the blades. We have a neighbor that sharpens and sets them for 7 or 8 dollars. For that it’s not worth running a dull blade.
Are you offering sharpening services to anyone? There’s a guy on Facebook looking for someone in Southern MO to sharpen blades. I can give him your number if your looking for some to sharpen.More truth, and probably the biggest reason blades brake too early.
