i saw in here previously that someone was using the wood mizer blades.

so far i have only used the woodland blades.

are the mizers better? i think they are are actually cheaper then the woodland.
I run woodmizer "double hard" blades with good results, I've got around 400 of em to be sharpened soon's I have time.
Just a hunch, but I'd bet the woodmizer will out last the woodland blades.....if I was a betting man......

I just bought 5 of the double hards to get me through till I decide where to send some of the 200 used blades off to be sharpened. I'm not sure if I got double hards or the regular carbon steel ones with the mill.

I haven't really call around for prices but woodmizer has a list on their website of sharpening services.

I've been using Ripper 37 blades from Jerry's Resharp. Very good blades.

Well, now you've got my scientific side wanting to compare the rippers to the double hard......
With shipping, they're 5 bucks a pop higher than woodmizer but I'd hate to be missing out on a good thing.

Are you running the 10° ?

I'm thinking of trying the 7° for a better all purpose blade in all this doggone hardwood.

I have been using the 10° blades. Even in oak they cut very well.

Gotcha, theoretically 7° should hold an edge a little better, but idk.
I've been running a bunch of 4° in oak, they seem to keep going longer than the 10° but it comes at the cost of a reduction in feed rate, not a big deal in oak because I have to go really slow anyway, in pine or cedar it's very noticeable.....even a fresh sharp blade feeds pretty slow.

oh…. lol i don’t cut as much as you i have only gone three 3 blades.
Well in that case 60 is probably overkill....lol
I usually go through at least 3 per day of sawing, so 60 per order is good number for my operation.
