Funny was just talking about crown and ginger with a good buddy. I take crown with coke but all bourbon I drink with ginger ale. My favorite for the money is makers mark w Canada Dry ginger ale in the can

Ther is a cranberry ginger that gives it a real nice flavour.

Cool a beer thread! Passed through Shannon Ireland a few times and got hooked Irish beers for life. Smooth, easy to drink beers.

Some of these Irish recipes are over a hundred years older than my parents. Ireland know how to brew a fkn beer, dozens of generations deep.

Here in the states, these trendy little micro-brews with stoopid, catchy graphics on the bottle or can, beer that's been around for 5 minutes. Are you kidding me?! Thats what you have to do when you're new, unoriginal in a crowded field.....rely on graphics.

I have a couple good friends that are recovering. It takes good people around you to support you and help keep the temptations away. Keep your eye on the goal!

It's not possible to be around it in early recovery without eventually relapsing. It took ten years for me to feel ok with going to a restaurant and eating in the bar.

I really like the taste of beer. I have no need or desire for alcohol so I may start sampling the low/no alcohol varieties again. Some years back one of the major labels had a .5% brew that tasted awesome. Can't remember who it was and don't think I have seen it for awhile.

I met a couple of guys in an NA meeting over 17 years ago who are still my best friends. Real friends. The kind who show up....and check in. I wouldn't be clean today without those fellas.
