2.5 inches on mine to end of studs, studs have 1/2 of thread on the ends. That snorkel kind of messes stuff up. Maybe a 2.5" round stock, 2-2.5" long, make like a normal cylinder style stack, and then where it blocks the snorkel, grind down so that a tube can fit over the snorkel, run tube along top of snorkel and stuff open end of tube inside foam filter???
2.5" with carb off, carb is 1.86" deep

Could just plug it and drill a hole in the bottom of the carb plate and put a frogzskin on it??

You can just leave it open or put a little foam in it. The only reason why Stihl doesn't have a typical cover with a couple of tiny holes is they know they have an issue with clogging filters. So they reference the atmospheric side of the carb to the inside of the filter to compensate for filter clogging. This way it will lean out the fuel until the filter is too clogged to provide enough air for the engine to run.

Called intellicarb?? Sounds easy enough. I did that on a 660, just used foam and that rubber outer grommet to hold it in place, still there after dozens of compressed air cleanings.

Didn't know if milling would be worse on that because all the fines. That only connects to the back side of the pump diaphragm, so easy to clean if you can remember that sorta stuff

As long as you pay for it. I'm assuming USPS will eventually get it there.

So the 2100 I use a 288 plastic filter neck and put a V-stack on top of that.

Very happy to pay postage.

What is the advantage of the plastic 288 filter neck over the metal one on the 2100?

I sell the Squarefile velocity stacks in flavors to fit 026-066 (including 046 with standoffs) and a larger stack for 084/088/MS880/3120.
I don't have any filters in stock for the big ones yet and not looking to step into anyone else's deal here, just throwin it out there.
I plan to stick one of the new big ones on my 084 :)
We used the smaller one on the wicked 026 DRF255 built and on both of the 064 hybrids Jason did for me.
The saws like to breathe :)

Easy enough. Now I don't have to make one.

@srcarr52

I got an unused 2100 velocity stack if you need a model to go off of. Will be happy to send to ya : )

I'm good, I've drawn up prints for a 2100 stock filter neck or the ones I'm making which is a 288 low top filter neck and the whole thing will bolt onto a 2100.
