It wasn't long ago when when a loop of 20-24" RS was only about $5 more than Oregon lpx or lgx equivalent.

I used to get any Stihl chain (except carbide) very reasonable. All 20 inch were $12, 24 inch were $14, 32 inch $18, and 36 inch for $20. That was 3/8 or .404 in any tooth design.

Yeah I miss those days.........
Yea, 100'rolls were well under $300, lol
Been a while since them days

It was a odd situation. Stihl credited the shop once a year with heavily discounted chain based on their unused advertising. It still goes on today but the prices are higher.

Our dealer, back then…late 80s…bought chain by the pallet. He supplied several firewood crews. We got rolls from him for cost+10

Last 100' roll I got was Oregon 72 LGX on eBay. The seller, from Canada, had it listed under some odd ball category. Got it for $139....no one else bid on it.

Short term review: put 2 tanks thru the ported 661 tonight with the 114dl loop i constructed out of the 84dl 3 pack. Good stuff... cuts just like 33rs, seems to hold an edge just like 33rs...

Last pic is the damage to a tooth after throwing the chain from bouncing the tip into a lower log at full kilter... that was wedged INTO the case protector at the bar mount... 20240530_201754.jpg

A little update - I've been emailing with them about some of the sizes you've asking about and we can get them. She said the 28" x .063 is up now on the Azon page. Just pay attention when you order because it doesn't look to me like the 28" or 36" is a 3-pack.
We can get the 100' rolls. I don't know what the pricing would be yet but I'm working on it. I imagine they have all chain sizes available but it might be more realistic to have 3/8 x .050 and 3/8 x .063 to start out with. Can you guys post up how many and what size rolls you'd be interested in so we can get a count for a bulk order? I'm going to start out with 3 rolls of 3/8 x .050 and one of 3/8 x .063 myself.

Hands down 3/8 x .050 will be the biggest demand. Next I would say 3/8 x.063. After that it would be a crapshoot between .325 in .050/.058/.063. I personally do not use .325 but I am betting of those who do the highest demand is a even split between .050 and .063. I am not sure there is a great demand for 3/8LP. Myself I would be interested in.404 but doubtful that will happen.

With all that being said I would buy reels of 3/8 .050 primarily

Looks like 100’ rolls will be around $250 to $260 delivered if we can get at least 10 rolls in any combination and even lower for more. The shipping is the key and that’s where the break hits. All the usual suspects are available from what I gather, 1/4, 3/8, 3/8LP, .325, .404, .043, .050, .063, FC, SC, Skip and Milling with 30 presets and vinyl hanging bags. I’ll commit to 5 rolls. When we get to 10 I’ll set things in motion. You will buy direct and I won’t be involved in the deal beyond letting them know how many to pack up. Post it here or send me a PM.

I believe getting to 10 rolls will not be a problem. I will say at that price I will commit to 3. Now I wand to be crystal clear it is my hope that some pony up and commit to more. If they do I will also. It is kinda like the "Field of Dreams" concept. If you build they will come. I will commit to a roll of 3/8 .050, a roll of .404 .063, and a roll of something else. I know it is not possible but if they could build a roll of .404 .050 or 1/2 .063 they would sell more.

I am in for 3 so folks let's get this to 20, 30 hell 50

Has anyone here cut more then 2 tanks of gas on 1 of these chains? I would like to know how they hold up after 5 or more tanks. When this thread started I found 3 reviews of this chain and 2 were negative. 1 said something like it wasn't worth buying and a waste of time.
