Hang tight, 28 should be up in a day or so I'm told. I have tried the 36 .050 so I know they exist. Not sure about 32s. I'll ask about rolls. I forgot to ask early this morning before they closed.

So, got my 24" chains to make 36s, i can affirm Stihl presets work with this chain, because its a dang good copy of a stihl chain... going to be cutting with it later this week hopefully.

Great pictures. Looks like the V modest chain may have a slightly longer tooth for more sharpening life vs the Stihl chain.

Any chance we could get some love for 24/25 inch 3/8 84dl, .063 for some cheap spares for the neotec bars some of us recently got?

In these pics stihl chain is the lower chain, vmodest is the top chain. One thing i notice in these pics is the kerf of the vmodest seems a hair wider than that of the stihl.

They look strikingly similar Bogie. Stihl RS is my favorite chain...but not the price. Haha

Based on current price of 72DL Vmod....puts a 100' roll around $190 ish..

Just ordered a 3 pack of 3/8 .050 84dl chain. Got it for 36.53.

The only real difference is I see between the two, is the stihl chain is stamped stihl and the mark for the cutter angle is etched on the stihl chain versus stamped on the V modest. Other than that, the oil retention dimples on the drive links are the same, the stihl presets work on it perfectly, even down to the portion where the drive links attach is 063, even when it's an 050 driver. They even stamped the cutter with a three, denoting 3/8 chain, and the driver links with a three, denoting 050 chain just like stihl would do.

And I agree, RS is pretty much the best chain out there, just not anywhere near the best price. Hopefully the V modest chain lives up to the reputation of the RS chain at a lower price point.

I used to get any Stihl chain (except carbide) very reasonable. All 20 inch were $12, 24 inch were $14, 32 inch $18, and 36 inch for $20. That was 3/8 or .404 in any tooth design.

Thats really overpriced Hexa, not RS.... we currently have the 33rs 84dl for $36.99 each...
