UPCOMING Twin cities 2025 gtg

Ok guys we missed last year due to me having surgery for the second time. I’m considering getting the band back together this year for another gtg. I know weather always plays a factor in a winter gtg but we have been lucky for the most part. Tentative date of 12-6-25. As in previous years we will supply 32:1 non oxy mixed with schaeffer’s 9000 as well as plenty of bar oil. Shop will be warm and I’ll work on getting the bench vice lowered for those who are vertically challenged. I will keep things updated as time goes on. Hopefully we can get @MG2186 to bring some more tsumara bars to sell again. He is also an Oregon dealer too. I’ll start a pm at a later date.

Decembers only chance of fly in the ointment for me will be if I have to plow snow on that day.

Cold only means working harder to stay warm, take that over these past weeks of temps in the 90s.

Vertically challenged and sharpening in the woodyard worked fine for me last year.

We are planning on it just need to survive till then and the knee to hold up. Now that the weather is finally cooling down it feels more like gtg weather. I was just checking the freezers with the wife as we have a half a cow coming soon and don’t have room for it. Just need to decide between shredded beef sandwiches or pulled pork sandwiches as I have plenty of meat for either. If I decide for the pork I’ll smoke it over thanksgiving and freeze it til the gtg.

Knee is still bothering me but I will manage to get through the gtg. Just may need to do the full Dallas that next day. I have a second opinion in just over a week. The injections they give me have done very little and the doctor said let’s try more therapy. The therapist said there was no need for therapy so here we are.

It does Chris but I just take it one day at a time. The amount of other things I’ve currently having to overcome outside of this knee issue keep me distracted from the knee issue
