Thanks I think I have roughly 2-3 mil bd ft total on the saw. Idk for sure I never kept track of stuff like that. I figure 2-3 years on a logging saw is 10 years for a firewooder. I swapped the shortblock about 150 hours ago when it got that tsumura bar on it (it’s a tsumura you just can’t see any of the paint anymore). Pto bearing wore out. Still original topend, piston, carb, ect.

Did you ever run the 572 against a 462 felling? How's the vibration on it?

Not trying to start a saw fight but I have felled with the 462 before in hardwood and the vibration is a bit much. There are days where I would only do 2-3 trees, granted 28+ inches, and my knuckles and hands would be real numb at the end of the day.

If you are experiencing that kind of numbness after a few trees i would say you are very sensitive to vibrations.

Could be. Wore gloves and stuff. First couple times felling with it was 10 plus trees day. Got numb. Then the one day it was only a couple trees and that's what got my attention.

Don't have the same problem when I fell with a 7900.

Yes the 462c does vibe a tad more than the 572xp. But I think it’s more due to the smaller piston/longer stroke motor setup of the 572. It’s not a huge difference though. I’m thinking it might have been your chain was too aggressive?

It was a half skip full chisel on a 28in bar. I really like it, super fast on live trees.

And yeah, semi chisel is pretty rough bore cutting. I used a 25in full comp semi chisel before that, super rough. Had to use a different saw with less aggressive chain to start the bore.

I'll bet if I strapped a pound and a half lead bar to it that it would feel smoother!

They feel very smooth to me, but I do run full comp square file.
