Something turned one of my chickens into a pile of feathers, decided to pull the camera card.
Batteries were dead.
Not only am I a slacker, I’m an idiot.

I thought I’d add my story and pics/vids. A while ago I posted foxes jumping up at squirrel I had trapped. Well we have many grey squirrels and no red ones left.

Anyhow living in a small city, there are many foxes.. some people feed them some see them as just another animal trying to live, very few see the other side of the damage they can do.

I have an allotment where I grow fruit and veg and keep my bees. On my allotment a have a poly tunnel where I grow tomatoes and chili peppers etc.
So one day I noticed 4 holes chewed down ithe side, I thought wtf has done that but my guess was foxes and not badgers like others had thought.

I repaired the holes with tape (although it looks crap, it does the job) a month later another hole. I blocked it off.
A week later 3 holes now down the other side.. by this time I’ve had enough of this and set up my trail cam and proved it was a fox or a few.. i then set the trap that I had been using for the squirrels. My batteries died and it got set off, so I’m still very determined as this fox/s are just using it as a place to sleep and get out of the wind and rain. There are many sheds they can choose from. But not my poly tunnel.

Each vids 30sec long Spoiler alert... its a spring trap designed for rats and squirrels, but may break your finger if you get sloppy setting it. The fox gets away hopping mad

Too bad he got away, hopefully learned a lesson.

I’ve had my fair share of fox troubles as we have egg layers. Foxes die much easier than raccoons, them little bastards take a punch like Mike Tyson.

I still have 1 camera to pull for the winter, but I'm fairly certain I saw this buck the previous day of the pics. He was nose to the ground at a very fast walk and through the clearing and back into the woods before I could get my rifle on him..



Still have a few weeks of late season archery, but deer activity is pretty much all at night after rifle here, plus they tend to move away from my property.
Not sure if he made it all the way through our rifle season or not.
Maybe next year.

Still have a few deer out there.
