Hey folks , I'm having a warm start issue with this old girl and all that I'm reading says the coil may be failing ( hard to believe on such a little-used saw but I guess it's possible ).
Anyway , the parts lookup shows # 573992801 as discontinued / not available.
anyone replaced one with an aftermarket item that has worked well ?
Held up over time ?
Yeah , I get it . It's a cheap saw but it's for trail-work & I'd just like to keep it going.
Thanks all .

Do you use the fast idle ("half choke") position of the lever when you try to start her while she's warm?

Have you tried changing the spark plug? What is the electrode gap? Closer to 0.020 or 0.025''?

I checked during the time it wouldn't start for spark and there was none .
It had an Autolite plug (2974) in it ( which I figured was correct but it wasn't.)
I have since replaced with Champion RCJ7Y but haven't tested it yet.
