I guess it's the one on SH.
If so, interesting serial number, you know if it's Mahle or KS jug?
That's the question of the day. No decomp but a '93 serial number. A serious 262 guy said it could go either way.

I guess you are currious to figure it out. I've seen pictures of two different Mahle without decomp, one of them was cast for valve, the other one not.
Please post up info when you get the saw, many here who love to hear about those 262's

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Homelite Super Xl Auto that I picked up for $40. Compression at 90 PSI and piston and cylinder wall in fairly good shape. Went through the carb and found that the diaphragm and spacer gasket were on backwards....Diaphragm on bottom instead of top...fixed that and cleaned the carb....then came to realize there was no fuel filter. lol But after doing that and re-tuning it runs perrty darn good. Gonna sharpen the chain and try to cut some lumber tomorrow. And then install the correct fuel line and put a filter on. 007.JPG

This pile of parts followed me home today. It will mostly be parted out through evilbay. Some good stuff in the pile to sell there.

Picked this up yesterday. An old 026. In great shape other Than it was a contractors and he carried it around with him. Used and never blown off so quite dirty. Paid $100cdn for it.

Said he bought it new. One day it stopped working. He replaced fuel line and didn't start so he parked it for years. Look at pics and I think you'll have a good idea why it wouldn't start LOL. I wiped a few spots down and looks like it just needs a bath aND some minor parts. 20160128_220827.jpg 20160128_202550.jpg 20160128_202630.jpg

Not a saw but I just got in a Maasdam rope puller and 200' of pulling rope. I bought it after trying to pull over an oak a couple days ago. This rig would've made it a lot easier. So I ordered one from Tree Stuff and it came two days later. Oh, there were also a couple dozen files in the order.
