Picked up a couple Homelite XL-12's for free today! Red one should be a runner as the compression is good and it has strong spark. Gonna restore this ol boy and paint it the same colors as my 66 chevy. The blue one is for parts.
I'll start a restoration thread when I get a flywheel from my buddy at the shop. The one that was on the saw had sheered cooling fins.

Has anyone seen a bar painted like this? It was on a 024

I can't find the picture but I had one that looked just like that on an early 024AV I sold last summer. It was 16" and they must have used a better quality of paint on the bars back then because it had been used a lot but it looked about like yours after lots and lots of use.
