I bid on this online auction a week ago thinking no way I’d buy it and ended up getting this x320 John Deere for $105 and I’m told it runs. I’ll make the 3 1/2 hour trip in the morning to go get it.

Post some pictures when you've cleaned it up. Just getting the dust and dirt off will transform it.

Only 282 hours, runs great, trans is strong, blades engage with no funny noises, oil is clean, air filter looks new, battery is good, tires hold air, needs a hood and cleaning.

Here it is cleaned up. Next I’ll install the new hood on it, put the seat pad back on and put the belt covers back on

What does Deere want for a hood ? The hood for my Sabre was around $300. Does that have a 42” deck ? It looks & sounds like you got a great deal. Congrats. The only thing I don’t like about my X380 is the keyed shaft/rim drive setup on the rear wheels, I see yours has the same setup. My Sabre had 5 bolt rims, that rear tire setup is the only thing I didn’t pay any attention to when I bought the 380.

Hood was $331 plus tax. It has the 48” edge cutting deck.

I would say you made out like a bandit on the deal. Probably have about as much in fuel to/from as to what you paid for it. They are nice mowers.
