My latest PM,under a Skil sticker
It's in pretty nice shape,and complete.I have a 390 missing the top cover1690 d.jpg 1690 a.jpg 1690 b.jpg 1690 c.jpg 1690 f.jpg
Does have slight scoring on the piston,a fin broke off the flywheel, and the foot plate is broke.
I was hoping to run it but the scoring means looking deeper to make sure there isn't an issue behind it.

My dad snagged this for me last year. He was leaving a shop as it was getting tossed into a dumpster. Went back inside and they said it was scrap. If he was able to get it out by himself it was free for the taking!

It sat around until today when I got a wild hair to look at it. Was tagged that it was getting water in the oil........ Well it had sat for over a year and it wasn't locked up yet. So I filled the sump and put fuel to it. No signs of life. Gave one pop after a shot of go juice. So I pulled the valve cover and recoil off. Rolled it to tdc and the valves were off. First thought it had skipped the timing chain but I didn't see any signs of impact. So I decided to pop the flywheel and sure enough the key was sheered and 180* out of time.

The key had sheered because whoever's job it was to ugga ugga the flywheel nut at the factory must have been out sick that day.

Now I don't stock the correct key because it's such a odd duck. But I made due with what I had until I can get the proper replacement. (Such a odd duck that 99% of the parts are nla and prob why it was going to the dumpster)

But heck the thing runs pretty sweet now that it's properly back in time.

Last pic shows the only damage on it.

Made another trip and picked up more of what I acquired... I'm not even sure what is all in there.
