Stihl MS441 Magnum Rebuild- Part 3 - YouTube
New bar and throttle cable are on order.
I use the chain brake to tighten the clutch once I get the saw running. Rev it and them hit the brake...do it a few times and good to go.Cool vid...so you just rock with the clutch put on finger tight?
I picked up an HD2 at the shop for mine today. I already cleaned the old one and it still looked bad. hahaI watched your vid and thought I might need a new filter. Mines a bit grungy. Gonna stop over at the dealer and see if they have one. Gotta go and order a bar for my MS271 anyway.
Same here...launched an outboard clutch across the yard once. haha!I've launched a clutch across my shop. Even after I read they'll come off.. I don't tighten mine up much I just make sure the clutch cover is on when I start em
My understanding is that your method isn't the best for the crank snout.I use the chain brake to tighten the clutch once I get the saw running. Rev it and them hit the brake...do it a few times and good to go.
Yeah, To me it's no different than hitting the brake when you want to stop the chain. lol I did forget to mention that we do this with a bar and chain On, and not a lot either...only a few times. It will self tighten in wood soon enough. My understanding is that your method isn't the best for the crank snout.
I snug it up and always start with the bar on, than lay it in wood. Never had a problem.
