I am looking for a couple of clutch covers. 1 each for an 044 and an MS660. Likely easiest to trade cash but I do have an 1125 (036) clutch cover and an 1128 (MS461) with outer spike that don't match the saws that they came on...
Let's start with a confession. I am much closer to a PSP than a guy that makes a living with his saws. I haven't broken out the pollish yet but the covers on them now just don't look right. I am trying to set them both up with dual spikes and I haven't been able to get them to match up with the covers I have.461 clutch cover works with 660 and 044. The 036 cover will work with the 044. Why don't your covers work?
The 1125 cover on the 660 look ridiculous...These saws all have the same covers ,the outer dogs are different though ,inners should all be the same .

I will have to wait. Have to go get my son from daycare, drop him with Grandma and then taking some clients out for dinner and then to see the final (?) tour of The Tragically Hip.Pics?
Really? It looks very short, like all of the chain is exposed on the bottom. I'll try and get pics soon. There's nothing wrong with wanting purdy covers.
Just for reference there's no difference between the "1125" cover and the 660 other than the stud holes are counter sunk. You can even remedy that with a half inch drill for reference.

Its ok your in a safe place now. Some may poke a little fun at the pretty saws but who doesnt like pretty? I myself am just to dang frugal and prefer all out funtionality on all my junk. I was gonna offer you an 1128 cover but its not pretty.
I have ran a few beautiful ported saws. But they come at a price Im not willing to pay. I have been running my 17 yr old suburban for the last 15 yrs. If it breaks I fix it or upgrade if possible. Id love to have newer truck that tugs better but mine is still sufficient.I'm the same. I'd love pretty saws, but I'd rather have them hopped up than pretty. I don't look at them when I'm running them... Lol

pro tip: baby oil on a q-tip works well for removing icky sawdust and oil residue from a valued saw and leaves a pleasant odor for when you snuggle the saw

Me too. My only pretty saw is my 066 that has parts from 4 066/660's on it. Old case, newer recoil, aftermarket cover. But it's a running mofo.I'm the same. I'd love pretty saws, but I'd rather have them hopped up than pretty. I don't look at them when I'm running them... Lol

Gotta be careful when you're spooning. You don't want to make it too slippery and lose your grip. At least take off the chain.PSP UNITE!!!!
