What about the choke lever for the Makita DCS6401? Does anyone have an extra? I ordered one and now they are saying it is backordered.

Freakin' everything Dolmar/Makita is "backordered"!
Makita is intentionally aggravating their internal combustion OPE customers so they stop using equipment Makita doesn't wanna support anymore.
Parts prices are skyrocketing too.

I’m in search for some Stihl 193T parts. This saw lives a hard life and needs repairs pretty often. The saw was dropped out of a tree again, and I need the top handle itself, including the stop switch. I also need the plastic filter base that has the nub that holds the filter cover on. A filter cover wouldn’t be out of place either, but this one still works. Let me know what you may have.

Did You ever consider fixing that poor thing and then dunking it in liquid rubber or silicone and create an elastic protective outer shell? 🤔

That one could definitely need it. He's a bull in a china shop with his equipment.
How do You end up "making" money in any business if You rape, beat and break Your equipment on a regular basis?

I know that I am better off not bucking other peoples firewood logs than causing serious damage to even one of my saws within a year of usage.
Which is why it takes me longer to buck a log pile than others that actually set the asking price for said service.

So far this year I begun raising my compensation prices.
I had to anyways due to increase of prices on everything, and increasing difficulties in sourcing Dolmar parts - but I also came to realize that my "free time off work" is far more valuable than my hourly paycheck "at work".

So, yeah - whomever I offend this year with the prices of my services won't bother me next year and onward!
It is a win-win solution/scenario!

I'd rather spend the weekend off work in good company turning a suckling pig or cooking a "peka" (fire pot) than wearing myself and my equipment out doing next to free favors for people I never ask any help from.
You, Sondre my friend, know the difference of the two! :beer-toast1:

Did you ever consider making him buy his own saw and then paying him rent on each day he uses it for you? Works wonders on saw longevity.
This is his own saw. I’m just the guy fixing it. With him it won’t matter much whether he owns it himself, or not. His equipment and his money.

This is exactly what kept me from picking up a 7900, I was told parts might be scarce In a few years and I would be up *s-word creek if something broke down the line.
