I presume you mean 048? I have some pretty beat 042/048 plastics if all you're looking for is functionality. Not something I'd use on a nicer rebuild by any means.

PM inbound about the 041, btw. Thank you very much.

I meant a 038. Small keys + big fingers = typos. I usually check but didn't this time, sorry.

I'll box up parts and head to the post office tomorrow.

Anyone got a 46mm ring for a 357 kicking around? Either oe or caber preferably. Got trades or cash just checking see if someone had one left from a 2 pack or had one that they wanted to get rid of.

Evening fellows! I need a 3/8” tip for this bar. I can swap you this .404 or purchase yours. I’ll be needing rivets too. View attachment 322210

You can get aftermarket ones at chainsawr. They are the only ones I have seen that have the 3 rivet older bar tips. I got a couple from them seem to be decent quality so far

Will these long ones work? I have a bunch of theseView attachment 322224
I don't think they will ... I appreciate the offer though.
After some research I don't think the walbro carbs require the plastic cap ...only the tillotson carbs do .
There are two different guide bushings for the two carbs .

What length bar is that and what does it fit? If it is something I would use I might have a 3/8 bar I would trade.
Thanks for the offer but it’s collectible (to me anyway) Sachs-Dolmar 28” D033. It’s NOS as well so I’ll be wanting to keep it.
I bid on and won an old NOS 25” Oregon bar in 3/8”
with that mount. I’m hoping it’s .050 gage but it will prolly be .058. I have some .058 loops that I could cut up , just don’t want to.
I’m going to get one of those tips shown in the link you provided and appreciate your help , all of you!

No issues running .050" gauge chain on a .058" gauge bar, none that I noticed and I have done and am doing it.

Just saying.
It is merely 0.2mm which won't matter any on a new bar.

I've seen the long haul results from that and it fubars the Bar.
A shelf queen with little to no use is different. I've had a bar with .058 that should have been .063 and it wandered terribly in the cut with 28" bar ,a smaller bar you may not notice as much.

Not much cutting here and whatever cutting I do is spread over up to a dozen saws.

I ran .050" chain in a used but good condition .058" bar - wore the loop out never cut crooked. 20" 3/8"
I am also running .058" chains in my FACTORY ORIGINAL 16 YEARS OLD PS-6400 bar, bar is rated .058" but can easily accomodate .063" chains (I wore a .063" loop out in this bar). Also 20" 3/8"

I am just saying that it can work, results may vary from operator to operator as well as given circumstances and conditions.

All in all, with all the web shops and eBay sourcing a properly fitting loop or chain length shouldn't be a issue.

Happy New Year! :borra2:
